'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League return

Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his interest in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is open to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is presently two years through the four-year contract he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The veteran forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the maiden important honor of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he previously was, and would certainly consider extending his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead

  • Future success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's primary focus
  • The option of a Premier League return has significantly decreased
